Letters on the road to Vietnam Letter #1

God tells me, "Love them Kenya." That's the command and that is what I have labored for over twenty-years to perfect doing.

Choosing to love as my Master Jesus loves the church with everything he is, holding back nothing. I have read my Bible and love stands out as the unending main theme throughout. I have sought love in man and found no fulfillment.

Once I sought love in Jesus I became fulfilled. It was a long journey and numerous mishaps from leaning on my own understanding, but now it’s a wiser love, flexible and patient love, and a love that does not run out.

Traveling to Vietnam is not on my bucket list nor is it a part of “my” chosen journey with God. I am reminded  again and again by my dear friend the Holy Spirit, that I said "I would go where God needs my abilities”.

Da Nang, Vietnam is a part of God's choices for the journey and I will enjoy the journey even while being fearful in the process.
